Hey there,

this means the parse JSON module was expecting a JSON file it did not receive. Check your input.

The issue seems to be that the Parse JSON module is not getting a valid value in the required json field. I’ll double-check the mapping from the previous module and make sure it passes a proper JSON string, not an empty value or plain text

Here’s the prvious module’s json for you to suggest what’s wrong it this.

{“model”:“gpt-4o-mini”,“response\_format”:{“type”:“json\_object”},“messages”:[{“role”:“system”,“content”:“You are a B2B sales intelligence analyst specializing in product-data, catalog and eCommerce operations. Welcome to the Make community!

You **cannot individually run a single module** if you don’t have example input data values for each required field, which you must input into the dialog box when you manually run a single module. This is because when you only run a specific module, the mapped variables in the module’s fields are null (do not contain any value), as the previous modules do not run and produce any output values. Does this make sense?

Instead, try **running the full scenario** by clicking the “ **Run Once** ” button:

> Providing the Output bundle will allow others to replicate what is going on, especially if there are complex data structures (like nested arrays and collections) and data from external services. This helps us with answering your question with valid examples, like mapping raw variable names (instead of the label/display name).

Sharing these details will help you get better answers, faster.

Hi @Hariom_Sharan,

Could you share a screenshot of the Parse JSON module configuration and the input/output bundles from the module immediately before it?

The error indicates that the required **JSON** field is empty or not being mapped correctly.

While invalid JSON syntax is possible, this specific error more commonly occurs when no value is being passed to the Parse JSON module at all.

Best Regards,
@Mohamed_Jahar

You have a bunch of ifempy() functions with too many arguments inside. Maybe that’s breaking them causing the LLM to return no output. Also, most LLM modules have an option to return a JSON output under advanced settings, you shouldn’t need a parse JSON module here.
