# ChatGPT pulling wrong date and time with NOW variable

I am using ChatGPT to pulling in conversations to go back and forth but when it gets the time from the {{now}} variable it is not the same time I have set in the organisation or profile settings.

How can I change this or force it to get the current time for AEST?

To do this, you can use the built-in function:

- **[formatDate](https://help.make.com/date-and-time-functions)**  
`formatDate(date; format; [timezone])`

Here’s an example of how you can use this function:

> `{{ formatDate(now; "DD/MM/YYYY"; "Australia/Sydney") }}`  
> _(copy-paste the above into the field, or type it exactly as shown)_
