### 🎯 What is your goal? Use Data Store record to hold information for scenario to reference during scenario run. ### 🤔 What is the problem & what have you tried? As the scenario runs the Data Store “Update a Record” is overwriting fields to empty. I have tried removing the fields by manually editing the JSON, but they seem to return (with empty state) upon running. please can you add a sceen shot that can help to get the logic of the scenario? ---

Hello, Could you please share the whole scenario screnshot? Also. Are you sure you are referencing the same record across your scenario? In Make, when using `Update a Record`, Make does not update empty mappings. So if there is value and your mapping is empty it should not be overwritten. Maybe you used tokens like `erase`, `null` or `emptystring` in previous modules? ---

Thanks for responding. I actually mapped in every field in every Data Store Update a Record module and the problem has stopped. I keep reading that the module does not overwrite fields that are left blank inside the module, but it seems that is exactly what was happening. ---

Thanks for responding. I mapped into every field in every Data Store Update a Record module and the problem has stopped. I keep reading that the module does not overwrite fields with empty mappings, but it seems that is exactly what was happening. I haven’t had a single problem since making the change.
