EmailOctopus/Facebook Connection Error

Hi everyone!

I am trying to connect my EmailOctopus account with Meta Instant Forms. I want to create new subscribers in EmailOctopus when someone fills out my Meta Instant Form.

I tried two scenarios, neither worked:

  1. Facebook Lead Ad (New Lead) >> EmailOctopus (Get Contacts From a List).

  2. Facebook Lead Ad (New Lead) >> EmailOctopus (Create a Contact in a List)

In both configurations, I received this error for EmailOctopus: The operation failed with an error. [403] You’re not authorised to perform that action. (error code: UNAUTHORISED)

I set up EmailOctopus using the API from them.

I was able to connect Facebook with MailerLite without any problems so I don’t think this issue has to do with my Make account.

Does anybody have any experience with this? Thank you in advance!

PS: I am also open to alternative emailing services that I can use. I need a service with a free plan that:

  • shows a small logo at the bottom of the email (no logo is even better),
  • is no-code,
  • enables additional fields to be added to subscriber records,
  • allows templates (MailerLite doesn’t have this feature for the free plan),
  • lets me set up brand colors/fonts/etc. for the account (EmailOctopus has this feature)
