What is your goal?
Process new connections added to EmailOctopus
What is the problem & what have you tried?
The EmailOctopus->Watch Contacts function does not seem to be triggered when new contacts are added. The description says that it should be triggered when this happens.
Running the module manually will SOMETIMES collect new connections, but rarely.
Tried:
- Created a minimal version of the scenario. Just the emailoctopus module plus google spreadsheet as a log
- recreated API keys
- verified API keys
- Tried various methods of adding contacts
- Enabled/disabled/recreated scenario
- Contacted emailoctopus support (“Works for us. Seems like a Make.com issue”).
Hi GoatBoater,
Are you still having this issue?
The module to Watch Contacts with EmailOctopus isn’t an Instant Trigger, so I was wondering if you are giving it enough time to execute. If you were to add a contact to EmailOctopus, wait a moment then run the scenario once:

Would you be able to show a screenshot of the module setup of the trigger?
Best regards,
Jacob
still having issues. Slightly different now. It seems to work ok now when manually triggered with “run once” - although I can’t see anything i have changed to get that consistency.
My understanding though is that “on demand” should be triggered by the API when a new record is added. I am starting to doubt that though. Have i misunderstood that entirely?
Yeah, “on demand” is when you run it. When a new record is added on the other end, that’s a webhook. You are looking for instant acid trigger to react instantly to it.
Here.
