Error trying to connect to xero

I am trying to create a scenario that checks for a contact in Xero and creates one if they don’t exist.

:thinking: What is the problem & what have you tried?

However, I cannot even create a connection with Xero. I just keep getting the below error after clicking “create a connection” on the module:

“Refresh token is missing” means the OAuth flow did not return or save the refresh token Make needs for the connection.

I would try:

  • Delete the failed Xero connection in Make
  • Remove Make from Xero connected apps if it appears there
  • Create the connection again in an incognito window
  • Disable ad blockers/privacy extensions
  • Allow popups and cookies for Make and Xero
  • Confirm the Xero user has access to the selected organisation

If it still fails, share with Make support:

  • Xero Correlation ID
  • timestamp
  • Make region
  • screenshot of the exact connection step

After the connection works, the scenario itself is straightforward:
Search contacts in Xero Router

  • if contact exists, use it
  • if not, create contact
