# Functions parseJSON() and createJSON()

I found information in the [documentation](https://developers.make.com/custom-apps-documentation/app-components/iml) about the built-in parseJSON() or createJSON() functions  
Is it possible to use parseJSON() or createJSON() directly in flows? Thank you!

Not directly as functions but you can find them as modules under JSON.

Those can only be used in Custom Apps, but not the scenario editor.

That’s a great idea, though! I agree that this is a nice feature to have.

You can submit this suggestion to the Idea exchange, under [Platform ideas and improvements](https://www.make.com/en/platform-ideas)

Don’t forget to search for it first, just in case someone already suggested it, so that you don’t end up creating a duplicate.
