# Gmail Thread ID

Hello Makers, I’m using the Gmail “send an email”-module, which doesn’t output the thread ID, only the message ID. I require the thread ID in a following step. How can the thread ID be obtained? Thanks!

It is opposite logic on gmail. You should assignee sent email to thread.

Thanks @Michass, that helps understand the problem. However, I believe there’s currently no possibility to make this work out of the box in Make, as no internal functionality exists to obtain a thread ID.

Hi @Zbulo

You can get thread ID from the module “Watch Emails”

Then you can reply to the same thread using the advanced module to create draft and actual replies to the same thread.
