What you’re describing—moving PDFs from a source folder into a specific Document folder in BambooHR—is absolutely possible. The typical setup looks like this:

  • Trigger: Watch a folder in your storage system (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, etc.) for new PDFs.

  • Identify the employee: Use a filename pattern or a lookup table to match the file to the right employee ID in BambooHR.

  • Upload to BambooHR: Push the file into the correct Documents category on that employee’s profile using BambooHR’s file upload endpoint.

  • Hardening: Add validation, deduplication, and error handling so the process runs reliably.
