When I publish a new blog post, how can Make automatically post it on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, or other social media platforms?
Publish it where? What’s your current stack like?
Quick question before anyone builds this: which platform is the source of truth for “a new post was published”? If your blog can fire a webhook this is a small scenario; if it can only be polled by RSS, the whole design changes.
Answer that and I’ll point you at the right starting module.

Hello,
You must take one of many architectural decisions.
- Publish blog post via Make – so you will have clear event that blog post was published,
- Watch for new blog post – Make.com scenario will make scheduled request to your CMS checking if there is any new blog post, for example few times per day.
- If that’s supported by your CMS – trigger Make once new entry is published and start workflow using webhooks.
Next – probably you should prepare posts – publishing whole entry into Instagram does not make any sense.
Publishing itself is easy in Make. The real work, like with any automation, is mapping out the process and the logic first.
Have a nice day,
Michal
yeah I run pretty much this setup in make for my blog, here is what worked for me:
- fire a webhook from my cms on publish with title, url, excerpt and featured image
- catch it in make with a custom webhook then pass that payload straight to blotato to spin up short posts/clips per channel
- let blotato handle the per-channel formatting and scheduling so I only fix copy in one place
