# How do I get "now" (current date) so I can formatDate to a string

I keep getting an error with both:  
{{formatDate(now(); YYYY-MM-DD)}}  
and  
{{formatDate(now; YYYY-MM-DD)}}

can someone clarify the correct syntax?

```
