How do I trigger when a Firestore Document is changed (not created)

I want to trigger a scenario when an existing Firestore Document is changed, not created.

However, I don’t see this as an option.

Is this possible?

You would need to have a webhook from Firestore. Sadly there is no “Watch Updated Documents” as a Module.

How important is this to you? You could create your webhook and then use it in Make.

Hm, I see how to create a function, but the function then needs to make a call (there doesn’t seem to be a built in webhook that will pass the payload) so then my call needs to construct the payload. This is helpful to know it’s not possible, but feels like I would make a brittle cloud function (i haven’t seen an example where it makes an external call)

Suggestions?

Well yeah it’s a lot of work, especially if you haven’t done it before. Sadly I don’t see a web hook.

A possible workaround might be to query the firestore documents in a specific timeframe (every day, hour, minute…) and only get those that changed?
