Huge noob. Just want to build one thing

What are you trying to achieve?

We have a bunch of data on our current tenants in our student accommodation database. This is stored in a google sheet which includes their contact informaiton, buildign and unit details as well as guarantor contact details.

I want Make to automate that when a new contact is created in this sheet, or if it changes, that a contact is updated or created in Freshsales. From here, we will connect to our Freshchat where we can send utility messages through Meta’s Whatsapp for business

Steps taken so far

I have followed the steps laid out here:

I’ve connected the Freshsales Module for “Create Contact”

But I’m stuck with a few things:

  • there are multiple sheets within the Google Sheet, so I need the module to look at all of them (is this possible?)
  • When I try to connect the Freshsales module, it’s looking like its needing me to match fields of the data (columns, rows, etc) from the sheet to how a contact is created. But HOW ON EARTH do I know what to drag and drop from the google sheet variables to the Freshsales categories? (Screenshot attached)

If I can figure this out, I’m hoping I’ll be able to create another one where if a contact is updated in sheets, it will update an existing contact card in Freshsales.

Hi Jesseroo,

Do not share your API key ever online, as people would be able to make the same connection to your account and mess things up.

I would recommend you to look at the Make Academy courses, as this will eventually gives you enough understanding on how to build the scenario. Also, have a good look at the API documentation of Freshsales is the most I can recommend to you if you don’t want to spend time on learning Make (but I highly encourage you to do so!)
