The program is our way of giving back. We want to ensure that those who dedicate their time to helping others, answering questions, and sharing great insights receive both status recognition and tangible rewards.
How the program works
The program runs for a one-year cycle and resets every January to keep the competition fresh and give everyone a chance to shine.
We recognize contributions using a dual-point system:
1. Community Points (your status & reputation)
Think of these points as your Make Community XP.

- These points are for recognition. They show how well you’re doing overall and determine your position on the Community Leaderboard.
- They never expire, serving as a permanent record of your contribution to the Make Community.
2. Store Points (your rewards)
Think of these points as your coins.

- These points are for rewarding you with exclusive merchandise and swag.
- Store Points expire after 1 year from the date they are credited.
- You’ll receive updates about your Store Points balance in our communications, and you can always check your balance or redeem rewards directly in the official Make Store under your profile.
How to earn points
You earn points in two ways: through instant milestones and monthly rankings.
1. Instant Milestone Rewards
Points are added to your balance the moment you reach a new milestone.

- Providing Solutions:
- Marking answer as “Solved” for the first time - 25 points
- Getting your answers marked as “Solved” for the first time - 100 points
- Getting your 25 answers marked as “Solved” - 250 points
- Getting your 50 answers marked as “Solved” - 500 points
- …
- Community Health: Keeping the community tidy with helpful flags.
- Trust Level Growth:
- Trust level 1 → 2 - 250 points
- Trust level 2 → 3 - 500 points
- Trust level 3 → 4 - 1000 points
- Anniversaries: Celebrating your yearly contribution with us - 250 points
- Challenges: Winning a Community Challenge - 1000 points
- Champions: Becoming a Community Champion - 1000 points
2. Top weekly contributors
At the end of every week, we celebrate our top contributors who will also receive a secret amount of points!
How to spend points
You can spend your Store points in our Customer store and buy yourself some cool Make swag.
Do my points expire?
Great question! The Community Points (your XPs) never expire, the Store points expire after 1 year from the day they were credited.
