Mural integration not working. Runtime error code: [403] Logged in user does not have the right scope(s) to access this resource

Hi there,

My goal is to turn data from a Smartsheet file into sticky notes in Mural. (After that, I want to build another automation, which gathers the sticky notes from Mural as CSV files, and hands them back to a Smartsheet project file. But right now I am stuck with the 1st scenario.)

As you can see from the attached files, the Connection in Make seems OK. The error occurs when I start to run the scenario, and it stops immediately when it comes to the Mural module. The error code suggests that there is an authentication or integration problem. I am fully authorized in Mural since I created the project and I use the admin e-mail adress when establishing a connection.

I tried the same scenario with Zapier, and it works just fine. The connection is stable, sticky notes are created in Mural each time I run the scenario. Still I would prefer using Make.com because it offers more configuration options. Can you help me figure out what could have gone wrong?

Thanks in advance.

What module are you using, and what does the external service’s API documentation mention about that endpoint this module is trying to perform?

Can you search for and provide a link to the relevant endpoint/method in the external service’s API documentation?

Hi Sam, thanks for helping!

I try to use “Mural - Add a sticky note” module.

I may have found the solution for the problem, just not sure I can configure it properly on my own. This page suggests that since I have Team+ subscription, and I am not an Enterprise client, I can’t directly use an API call:

I have to register my external app like this:

Can you help me with the Make.com URL links?

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to deal with this issue? @samliew perhaps? Thank you in advance!
