Nextcloud "download a file" module

:bullseye: What is your goal?

Iam running into a similar issue as is stated here, but the thread is closed: Microsoft Word Template - fill a document error: Invalid docx file

Im getting an error on docx files that I want to upload to make’s “extract text from document” module.

 What is the problem & what have you tried?

I have tried to map tobinary() because the output of the nextcloud is a long string but I get the same error

:clipboard: Error messages or input/output bundles

The file is corrupted or format is unsupported. Refer to documentation for the list of supported formats.

:camera_with_flash: Screenshots (scenario flow, module settings, errors)

One thing that may explain why toBinary() doesn’t help: it can only encode the string it receives. If the Nextcloud module has already converted the DOCX bytes into text and lost some byte values in that conversion, turning that string back into a Buffer won’t reconstruct the original DOCX.

Could you show the output bundle from Nextcloud → Download a File?

Mainly:

• the type Make shows for Data

• the beginning of the Data value

• the file name / size if shown

Also, does the exact same DOCX open normally when you download it directly from Nextcloud?

That should tell us whether the file is already being altered by the Nextcloud module or whether the problem happens later.

thanks for your reply! I have actually solved this through using the HTTP module… The file was working fine when downloading from nextcloud btw..
