Hello everyone.
I’ve been stalled on a non-functioning automation for a week now.
I want to automate the following:
Arrives an email to Gmail \> Automate attachment rescue (It’s a PDF) \> move PDF to word or JPG \> move it to OpenAI to pull some texts from Wold or JPG \> Get those texts from OpenAI to Tally.

The issue is the Gmail attachment that arrives in PDF, at the end I have to pass some information to Tally or other form software.
Thanks in advance!!!

Welcome to the Make community!

You’ll probably need to add a Sleep module between the CloudConvert modules so that it has time to process the file.

Or not, depending on the conversion type.

In my case I didn’t need a Sleep module for this:

 ![Screenshot_2024-06-23_000630](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/flex013/uploads/make/original/3X/9/4/942e5b65d1d69faa2f2db0f23a5a73c61060d674.png)

If you need further assistance, please provide the following:

## 1. Screenshots of module fields and filters

Please share screenshots of relevant module fields and filters in question? It would really help other community members to see what you’re looking at.

You can upload images here using the Upload icon in the text editor:
 ![](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/flex013/uploads/make/original/3X/2/0/20b53cdf28d223e85fc9654c350eadebd37f5d3c.png)

## 2. Scenario blueprint

Please export the scenario blueprint file to allow others to view the mappings and settings. At the bottom of the scenario editor, you can click on the three dots to find the Export Blueprint menu item.

 ![](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/flex013/uploads/make/original/2X/2/2ff55ee04419049c127f183db2b3eebfbbbbfc64.png)
(Note: Exporting your scenario will not include private information or keys to your connections)

Uploading it here will look like this:

> blueprint.json (12.3 KB)

## 3. And most importantly, Input/Output bundles

Please provide the **input** and **output** bundles of the trigger/iterator/aggregator modules by running the scenario (or get from the [scenario History tab](https://www.make.com/en/help/scenarios/scenario-execution-history)), then click the white speech bubble on the top-right of each module and select “Download input/output bundles”.

### A.

Save each bundle contents in your text editor as a `bundle.txt` file, and upload it here into this discussion thread.

Uploading them here will look like this:

> module-1-output-bundle.txt (12.3 KB)

### B.

If you are unable to upload files on this forum, alternatively you can paste the formatted bundles in this manner:

- Either add three backticks ````` before and after the code, like this:

- Or use the format code button in the editor:
 ![](https://europe1.discourse-cdn.com/flex013/uploads/make/original/3X/b/4/b485b6572c7a1c438f9b191c54e63d351008304c.png)

Providing the input/output bundles will allow others to _replicate_ what is going on in the scenario even if they do not use the external service.

Following these steps will allow others to assist you here. Thanks!

Thanks Samliew, but it still doesn’t work. I’ll send you a screenshot of the modules in my scenario, so you can see what’s really wrong because I’ve been dealing with this problem for a week.
Thanks in advance

Oh, you are uploading the file from the Iterator, and not the output of the CloudConvert module.

Guys, just to be sure as I’m working on similar concept - there is no way to actually upload PDF file to OpenAI? I’m trying different ways but as far as I can see - I can upload PDF only directly in to the chat…

Hello,

There’s a Upload a File in the OpenAI modules; you could give it a try.

This might help, manage to figure it out

> Ok, after much messing about I managed to figure it out, as searching wasn’t helping. Hopefully this helps others out there. In summary; use openAI upload module, but make sure the file name has the correct extention. Then you need to move this file into a Vector Store that you have already created (you could create via an api call if you wanted too). Then when you use the openAI assistant module, you use file search feature. It only works with GPT-4, and file search only works with vector …
