# Slack Search User Error Workaround

Hi all

Working on an automation that when a user is added to Airtable we check if they are in Slack, and depending if they are / not send them a specific email.

I have the following blueprint but the problem is when Slack searches for a user and it doesn’t exist it returns an error. I thought about listing users and searching that way but a bit overkill.

I created an error handler flow (last image) which does work but wondering if there is a better way to do this?

An error handler is exactly what you need.
