The part I am good at is the boring one: making sure a retry does not create the same record twice, and writing down what I checked and what I did not. In my own pipeline I found writes that were quietly producing three identical rows while every run finished green.
Good fits are bounded things. A form intake that has to land in a sheet without duplicates, a scheduled scenario that needs to remember what it already processed, a report that has to go out every morning.
Worth saying upfront: my documented work is in n8n rather than Make. The logic carries over; the platform is not the one I use daily.
