# The youtube transcript extraction solution by samliew does not work

The solution provided in this discussion no longer works

The html download does not return "timedtext " links. Is there something changed or did I do something wrong?

Welcome to the Make community!

YouTube is constantly changing their algorithm. You should use a third-party service that specialises in getting YouTube transcripts.

Here is a simple example using the [Dumpling AI](https://www.make.com/en/integrations/dumplingai) “Get YouTube Transcript” module:

Thank you so much for your answer. I really liked your solution earlier. I had used it for some time. But it suddenly stopped last week I think. Such a pity. As I am trying to create MVP’s, not too excited about paying for yet another tool But allright.  
Will give dumpling a whirl 🙂
