Trying to re-connect all entries to one new entry

Yes, that’s perfect!
I just noticed that I forced you to learn a bit of Notion on the side. Thank you for putting in that effort, I appreciate it a lot!

@Oscar3 I always say that when you help someone, you learn as well, and this is a very good example

I think you won’t need the advanced settings and the Make Dev Tool (But you can keep it for another time  ).

Let’s see if the what I will describe below helps you.
So, once you have picked a new Item from the “Watch Database Item”, you get its ID.

The next step is to do a Search for all articles with the “Search Objects” module of Notion.

It returns you bundles with all articles (be careful to set a high limit)

And then you add a “Notion / Update a Database Item” and you map the ID of the “Search Objects” for the “Database Item Id”, and you map the ID of the “Watch Database Items” in your Relation field 1. You don’t need to change any of the Relation “2” because it will be updated automatically by Notion.

That’s it. It should change all relation fields “1”, and Notion should do the rest for field “2”.

Here is a little video

Let me know if you have the same outcome. If not, let me know what should be different; maybe we’ll still need to do the trickier way, but let’s see.

Benjamin

Hey Benjamin,
this looks so nice and easy, I’m amazed haha
What an easy fix.

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong though, because to me it appears that I did everything just like you. And it still doesn’t work right for me. Maybe you have an idea why that could be? This is what happens for me, take a look:

Oh weird

Can you show the configuration of your modules? Maybe there is something wrong with a mapping?

Hi Benjamin,

Took a little moment but here is a little stack of images for the configurations.

Thanks @Oscar3,

Sorry it took me time to reply, since I was off these two last weeks.

Your last mapping is not correct; shoud be the other way round. You want to map the new Item in the field “1” for each individual other items. The mapping as to be exchanged.

Omg it worked! Everything works now!
My life is perfect now and I’m in paradise.
Haha
Jokes aside, thank you for this late christmas gift and your patience, this really makes everything so much easier! And I’m sure the next time I use Make, it will already be a lot easier to grasp.
Hope you have a wonderful night/afternoon and all the best
