# Using Perplexity Pro new Sonar API

### What are you trying to achieve?

I’ve successfully created a connection with Perp Pro but it’s just using the available LLM libraries. I want to make it work with Sonar (real-time news results) but don’t know what I need to change. Please eli5 because I’m not a coder and have limited experience.

They now need to add Sonar Reasoning which is Deepseek R1 new API offering as of today.
