# Webhooks taking hours

Why are webhooks taking hours to execute?  
I searched the forum and see this has been a thing that happened many times before with promises of speed-ups and those topics were closed, even the one as recent as 3 months ago.  
I need this functionality but not if I can’t count on it to perform.
