Add a new Google Sheets row at the Top / specified position

Hello all,

Instead of adding a row to the bottom of a sheet, is there any way to insert one at the top / below the top row (if using a header)?

If you imagine using Google sheets as a journal / record keeper, it would be so useful to see your latest entries at the top instead of having to scroll down to the bottom every time.

I appreciate you can use formulas to pull the data in from another sheet and sort it as desired, however, you can’t edit the content in this situation, it is ‘read only’ in effect.

This seems like a simple idea, but I can’t see or find a way how to execute it.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

For anyone who stumbles across this, I found a simple workaround.

It seems if you hide column A, newly added rows from the the scenario will come in at the top. A slight compromise, but it works at least!
