Automatic connection selection in the module

Hey, everybody. I have this question.

When I copy a scenario, I have to manually add a connection to each module.

Is it possible to add connections to modules automatically?

Hello @Artem4,

How are you copying a scenario?

If you literally copy and paste modules from one scenario to another, if it’s in the same org, the connection should copy as well. Otherwise, you’d need to select the connection in the destination scenario.

If you’re export a blueprint and importing it in another scenario, same thing I believe. If the connection ID exists in the destination scenario (meaning it’s in the same organization), then the connection info should copy as well. If it doesn’t exist, you’ll need to select it.

If you do have to select a connection then you can use the Make Dev Tool to copy the connection from one module to all other modules using that same app in the same scenario. Saves a little bit of time.

Hope that helps!

Yes, I import the blueprint, but I have to connect all the modules manually. And there are 300+ of them.

So far I haven’t found a solution to have the connections automatically connected in the modules. Although the connections themselves are already created.

I have installed MakeTools, but I didn’t understand how it can help me to connect modules automatically.

I figured it out using the Make Dev Tool Swap connection.

It helped me a lot. You saved me. Thank you very much!
