ChatGPT or OpenAI?

Hello, I have a question about the API.

To use the OpenAI API you apparently need a paid account to automate things. Is there an alternative where I can use it for free up to a point. My budget is not very high and I’m still trying it out anyway.

I currently use chatgpt free for classic tasks. But I would like to automate and generate images also.

Which service should I use then?

Greetings

You can use an alternative called Groq.

They have a free tier at the moment.

Get a Groq API key/signup here: https://console.groq.com/keys

Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any further questions or issues.

Thats nice, Thank you

What is the feature difference between Chatgpt and OpenAI API.
When i buy credits for OpenAI can i generate images(Dall-E), customize my outputs (like Chatgpt) and automating task to?

Greetings

ChatGPT doesn’t work on Make

“ChatGPT” (including Plus) and “OpenAI GPT models” are two separate products. Did you confuse these two?

The consumer chat “ChatGPT” at chatgpt.com is NOT compatible with Make.

Make uses the “OpenAI GPT models”, only accessible via the OpenAI developer platform.

OpenAI APIs for developer (commercial) use does not have any free plan

To resolve this issue,

  1. You can buy credits on the OpenAI Developer Dashboard, under Accounts

    Billing page

  2. Next, go to the Usage Limits page, and set the Monthly budget field to the same as the value above (e.g.: 120), then save your changes.
