hello, I would like to check if it is possible to download photos from Google Photos in original quality? I can download them but by default they are in compressed mode

I think It will give you same quality that you uploaded on google photos.
If you upload as compressed image you will get compressed image and vice versa.
You can change this thing in the google photos setting.

Correct. To download “Original” quality you’ll have to upload in the photo’s original quality in the first place, and not use the “Storage saver” option.
If you use the “Storage saver” option, Google does not store the original photo.
