Hi everyone,
I’ve been using Make.com to publish Instagram carousel posts that contain a mix of images and videos. Everything was working perfectly until about a couple of weeks ago. Now, I’m consistently getting this error from the Instagram module:
[200 ERROR] Error: Media upload has failed with error code 0
Important notes:
- My scenario hasn’t changed; it’s the same setup that worked before.
- All media files are valid (correct format, resolution, size, etc.).
- If I publish a carousel with only images, it works.
- If I try to mix images and videos (which the Meta documentation says is allowed), I get this error.
- The only thing that may have changed (but I can’t confirm exactly when) is that I’m now publishing carousels with images and videos in 1:1 aspect ratio.
Has anything changed recently in the Instagram module or the Meta API that could explain this?
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Hi, I’m running into the exact same issue
I reached out to customer support, and they confirmed it’s an error on Instagram’s side. There haven’t been any updates to the Instagram module itself.
What’s strange is that the behaviour isn’t consistent. Uploading just images, or a small mix (2–3) of images and videos works fine. But once I try posting a larger set (like 4–6 mixed videos and images), it fails. That makes me think it could be a timeout issue, possibly related to connection or server response delays.
I initially suspected that Instagram’s Graph API might now enforce stricter timing requirements especially for videos in carousels, but I haven’t seen any clear documentation confirming that. So I’m doubtful that’s the root cause.
I also considered the hosting environment (I’m using Notion to Instagram), but I’ve tested across different hosts and still ran into the same issue.
It would really help if there were a way to inspect each video upload individually to pinpoint where it fails, or even add a delay between uploads, but unfortunately, the current Instagram module doesn’t support that.
Right now, the only workaround I can think of is switching to HTTP requests manually, but since I manage multiple accounts, and the app is still in development, I’m not sure that’s even possible without full permissions and Facebook login integration…
I’d really appreciate any help or guidance also😢

hi, I could not find a solution, and simply started to use make.com to just upload carousels with only images…
