How can I integrate Whatsapp free in make.com

:bullseye: What is your goal?

I’m building an AI Lead Management System in Make.com. I have already created and tested three scenarios using Google Forms, Google Sheets, Gemini AI, Gmail, and webhooks for lead approvals and follow-up reminders. Now I want to add WhatsApp integration so that the system can send an actual WhatsApp message to a phone number.
I’m looking for a free solution for learning and testing, preferably without a paid subscription or business verification if possible.

 What is the problem & what have you tried?

I tried setting up WhatsApp through Meta for Developers, but I got stuck because it asked for verification.
Could you please suggest:
Is it possible to send test WhatsApp messages through Make.com for free?
Is there an official WhatsApp Cloud API test setup that works without business verification?
Are there any free alternatives that integrate with Make.com?
What is the simplest setup for a beginner to send a real test message?
I’d appreciate a step-by-step guide or a link to a working tutorial.
Thank you!

You can bypass full business verification during testing by utilizing the Meta for Developers Test Number feature within your app dashboard, which allows you to send sandbox messages to up to five registered personal numbers using a Make.com HTTP module. Just grab your temporary access token and the test phone number ID to execute POST requests directly against the Graph API. Let me know if you run into any permission scope issues with your Meta app token and I can help outline the exact JSON payload right here.

Meta’s WhatsApp Cloud API gives you a test phone number inside your developer app, under WhatsApp then API Setup. You can add a handful of recipient numbers and send the hello_world template without business verification. Use the WhatsApp Business Cloud module in Make with that number. The temporary token expires daily, so you’ll need to refresh it while testing.
