How to download a video from Airtable using Make.com?

Guys what am I missing?
I have a normal video on Airtable and everything works when I try to access it through Airtable
But when I do “search records” in Make and try to enter the link I get here - the link looks incorrect and there is no video inside
what am I missing?

You can try using the HTTP “Get a File” module with the link.

If the link doesn’t contain a video, then check the file on Airtable.

yes but the problem I have is that the video I get from the moudle “search records” is not working!
in Airtable the video is working as expected but on make - I get a video that when I enter the URL it does not show the video!
any idea?

If you need further assistance, please provide the following:

Please provide the output bundles of the modules by running the scenario (or get from the scenario History tab), then click the white speech bubble on the top-right of each module and select “Download input/output bundles”.

A.

Save each bundle contents in your text editor as a bundle.txt file, and upload it here into this discussion thread.
Uploading them here will look like this:

module-1-output-bundle.txt (12.3 KB)

B.

If you are unable to upload files on this forum, alternatively you can paste the formatted bundles in this manner:

  • Either add three backticks ``` before and after the code, like this:

    ```
    input/output bundle content goes here
    ```

  • Or use the format code button in the editor:

Providing the input/output bundles will allow others to replicate what is going on in the scenario even if they do not use the external service.

This will allow others to better assist you. Thanks!

In Airtable, the video is working as expected, but on Make, I get a video that, when I enter the URL, does not show the video!

Are you sure you are copying the whole URL? On some browsers, when the URL is longer, it doesn’t copy correctly when selecting. Use the method described above by @samliew—it will show you the full URL, which should be working (you can find it in Output bunldes).

Second, Airtable links are valid only for a certain amount of time. Read more here.

Third. It is direct link- in most of browsers opening it will start downloading- not launching video-player. Check for any blockers.

If any method described above isn’t working for you, contact Airtable’s support.
