I’ve created my scenario which results in a new message posted to a given Slack channel. But the new message doesn’t show as a new, “unread” message in Slack, just as other new messages do. It would be easy to completely miss the message, as there is no indication it is there.
I’ve tried various settings in the create a message module, and I’ve been able to use <@userid> but to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated! Thx.
Do you have a secondary account that you can use to see how it shows up for another user? Perhaps its not being marked new because your on the account that is creating the new message?

Do you have that channel muted?
Hey Joey,
are you posting to slack using your own user? You can create a new connection and under Type select the Bot instead, this way you should be able to see the messages as new.

Yes! This was the solution. I had been posting to Slack using my own User connection, whereas I needed to use the Bot connection. Solved!
