Using the “Instagram for Business” integration - trying to Get Media Insights, but that metric is deprecated. The Integration needs to be updated so that it doesn’t return an error and so that we can get the newly updated “Views” metric.
And I guess I can’t post an image here, but it’s easy to reproduce to see the full error from the Make integration:
DataError
(#100) Starting from version v21.0 and above, the video_views metric is no longer supported for the queried media. Please refer to the documentation at Insights - Instagram Platform - Documentation - Meta for Developers for a list of supported metrics. (100, OAuthException)
For technical issues like this, directly contacting support can often lead to a faster resolution. They have access to internal tools and resources, which allows them to investigate and update the modules involved.

Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any further questions or issues.
Thanks - just submitted a ticket. It is surprising that nobody else posted on this forum that that error was occurring because the integration has been broken for several weeks at least - maybe months since I first experienced, so I was surprised nobody else had vocalized this here yet.
If anyone is encountering this issue and just waiting for it to be fixed like I am/was, please know a support ticket has been submitted to Make to update the Instagram for Business Integration towards Meta’s new available fields.
Hello @Jesse_Bushkar, thanks for raising this in the community and for reaching out to our Customer Care team as well.
Just sharing this here for anyone else who might be in the same situation. Our dev team has been notified about this and we will keep you posted with any information and updates as soon as we get them.
Nope, all quiet so far. And I can confirm as of right now that the IG for Business app is still using deprecated metrics and is operating with limited functionality. Truthfully all of the Facebook and Instagram apps could use an overhaul, their current language and functionality is eroding since they’re based on several years’ old terms and platform features.
Dropping this here for the Make.com team to see how other SaaS offerings in the same space are out ahead of this integration update. If things haven’t deprecated yet (as of 3/13/25), I’m not sure why the Make.com app is already broken, but the rest of my stack is keeping up so I’m hopeful that the Make.com team announces these fixes soon!
Unfortunately, we don’t have any specific updates to share at the moment. However, our dev team is aware of the situation and we’ll make sure to keep you informed as soon as there’s any news.
We sincerely apologize for any disruption this may be causing.
Thank you very much for your patience and understanding
Any movement in the last 10 days? To anyone wanting this functionality, I’ve found that n8n does allow you to make arbitrary api calls which means you can set your own metrics and call parameters, unlike the current Make.com apps. The downside is that there are more technical hoops to jump through given that you need your own app id to authenticate. I imagine these choices/details are why the Make.com team is struggling to provide timing for their fixes - hopefully they make some headway soon, otherwise other solutions start moving up the list
We don’t have any news to share at this time, but please know that our dev team is actively exploring the best approach. We’ll make sure to share any updates as soon as we have them.
We’re truly sorry for any frustration this may be causing.
Thank you very much for your patience and understanding.
