JSON Array to Google sheet - new rows in same cell

If I get a JSON output like this:

{
“Title”: “What Are the Different Types of Editing?”,
“Source”: “Unknown”,
“Key Concepts”: [
“Developmental Editing”,
“Evaluation Editing”,
“Content Editing”,
“Line Editing”,
“Copyediting”,
“Proofreading”
],
“Questions”: [
“What are the main types of editing?”,
“When is it appropriate to use developmental editing?”,
“How does content editing differ from line editing?”,
“Why is copyediting essential even for confident authors?”,
“What is the role of a proofreader?”
],
“Summary”: “The article outlines various types of editing that a book may require, each serving a distinct purpose in the manuscript’s development. Developmental Editing focuses on the big picture, helping authors organize and structure their ideas. Evaluation Editing assesses a finished manuscript’s structure, flow, and completeness, providing high-level feedback. Content Editing delves into paragraph-level details, refining tone, voice, and flow. Line Editing goes further to scrutinize word choice and sentence structure for clarity and impact. Copyediting meticulously checks for spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors, ensuring adherence to style guides. Proofreading, the final step, catches any remaining errors and ensures proper formatting before publication. Each type of editing has a specific role and is essential at different stages of the writing process to produce a polished and professional book.”,
“Category”: [“Editing”, “Writing”],
“Tags”: [“Developmental Editing”, “Evaluation Editing”, “Content Editing”, “Line Editing”, “Copyediting”, “Proofreading”]
}

and want to put each line of the array (questions, and key concepts) into a Google sheet, but on a new line in the same cell how can I do this please?

Hi @KyleBehrend ,

Welcome to Make Community!

We have a solution for you please follow the below steps and notes.

Step 1: Use an Iterator

  1. Implement an iterator to loop through each element in the Questions array.

Step 2: Use a Text Aggregator

  1. Utilize a Text Aggregator to compile and aggregate the questions.
  2. The Text Aggregator will combine all questions into a single, text output with a newline separation.
    Please check the image below.

Final output:-

Hope this is what you are looking for.

Thank you :slight_smile: But I am trying to add them to the same cell, as new lines in that cell? Not additional rows if that makes sense?

@KyleBehrend Ignore the words New Row in the Text Aggregator, it is poorly worded, and it actually means new line, or {{newline}}.

Give it a try.

Would prefer using the join thing if I can get that to work too

Hi @KyleBehrend ,

Then you can simply use the join function as shown below.
