LinkedIn app broken?

:bullseye: What is your goal?

LinkedIn node/app to work again. I changed nothing. It worked yesterday morning. Now not.

 What is the problem & what have you tried?

“401: Application is disabled
Code: DataError
Origin: LinkedIn”

:clipboard: Error messages or input/output bundles

“401: Application is disabled
Code: DataError
Origin: LinkedIn”

I have the same issue, didnt change anything and since two days its not working anymore. No solution I could find for this issue on the make community forum helped

Make has two types of connections to LinkedIn. It looks like LinkedIn has blocked older connections and you must use Open Id connections. We got the errors today on two accounts. Switched them over and they started working again.

Same thing here. Was working fine and then just started throwing the same error out of nowhere, no changes made on my end either. Seems like it’s not isolated to one account so hopefully something on LinkedIn’s or Make’s side gets sorted soon.

Update: switching the connection type to “LinkedIn (OpenID Connect)” instead of the regular “LinkedIn” one fixed it for me. Had to create a new connection under that type and reauthorize, then swapped it into the LinkedIn modules in my scenario. Ran fine after that.

I am using scenarios to push data from out platform to LinkedIn and I am unable to see an option to use LinkedIn (OpenID Connect). Is there a walk around for this? Also will this be fixed own its own?

Click on the LinkedIn module/node in your scenario to open it. Under “Connection *” click “Add”. There you will see choice for “LinkedIn (OpenID Connect)”.

I have the same issue. I tried to just make a new connection to LI, and i still get the “this application is disabled” error message.

how much of a pain was the transition?

Thank you Scott for the explanation, that was really helpful
