We’re excited to launch our Community Recognition Program.
This is a new way to recognize, celebrate, and reward the people who make this community such a valuable place to learn and grow.

Your knowledge, generosity, and willingness to help others are what keep the community thriving. This program is here to make sure those contributions don’t go unnoticed.
Why we’re doing this
The program is our way of giving back. We want to ensure that those who dedicate their time to helping others, answering questions, and sharing great insights receive both status recognition and tangible rewards.
How the program works
The program runs for a one-year cycle and resets every January to keep the competition fresh and give everyone a chance to shine.
We recognize contributions using a dual-point system:
1. Community Points (your status & reputation)
Think of these points as your Make Community XP.
- These points are for recognition. They show how well you’re doing overall and determine your position on the Community Leaderboard.
- They never expire, serving as a permanent record of your contribution to the Make Community.
As of now, we’re monitoring this internally, but we will display the leaderboards for you to track, once the process is stabilized
2. Store Points (your rewards)
Think of these points as your coins.
- These points are for rewarding you with exclusive merchandise and swag.
- Store Points expire after 1 year from the date they are credited.
- You’ll receive updates about your Store Points balance in our communications, and you can always check your balance or redeem rewards directly in the official Make Store under your profile.
How to earn points
You earn points in two ways: through instant milestones and monthly rankings.
1. Instant Milestone Rewards
Points are added to your balance the moment you reach a new milestone. These include:
- Providing Solutions: Getting your answers marked as “Solved.”
- Community Health: Keeping the community tidy with helpful flags.
- Anniversaries: Celebrating your yearly contribution with us.
- Challenges: Winning a Community Challenge (plus secret milestones!).
2. Monthly Leaderboard Rewards
At the end of every month, we celebrate our top contributors. The Top 3 leaders on the leaderboard receive a bonus batch of points to kick off the next month!
