Make plugin issue in wordpress

Hi, this is really unfortunate! I’m giving a talk about Make in two weeks at WordCamp Gdynia, and this puts me into quite an uncomfortable situation, tbh. As a WordPress developer with a few plugins on WordPress.org, I’ve also encountered issues. I hope you can resolve this as soon as possible. If you need any assistance, please don’t hesitate to let me know. Alternatively, I’d be happy to discuss this further at the in-person event tomorrow at your Prague office.

It appears that the latest version you’re mentioning doesn’t containt any fixes - only Fix “Please limit your plugin to 5 tags.” warning. I wouldn’t install that one instead of the file @Michaela linked in the comment above.

@Michaela The provided fixed plugin doesn’t look right: checkboxes are missing for Post types, no checkbox option is available for the Comments or Terms tab. Only the user’s settings are available.

Hi @karolina, welcome to the Make Community, and thank you for sharing the updates from your side.

First, I’d like to sincerely apologize that this situation may be putting you in an uncomfortable position. Please know that our development team is actively working to resolve this as quickly as possible.

I’m also sorry to hear that the suggested workaround hasn’t helped. Since this is something the community can’t fully troubleshoot, could you please open a support ticket with our Customer Care team? They have the right tools and permissions to investigate this in detail and help you find a solution.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding. :folded_hands:

Users are not able to download the plugin.

This plugin has been closed as of September 3, 2025 and is not available for download. This closure is temporary, pending a full review.

Make Connector – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org is there an alternative source to get it?

Thank you for sharing the newly updated fixed and working plugin with us!

I downloaded it manually from the dropbox link you shared and uploaded it with no problems to the wordpress plugin library.

I will add that is doesn’t list out all of the check box options as before though!

Hello there,

I’ve been experimenting with Make in the last few days, and i managed to get what i needed until now.

I was about to end my experimentation phase with automatically creating a post on Wordpress, but i noticed that the plugin has been discontinued

Is there anyone that knows anything about this?
I also tried with direct API’s call, but while i managed to bring the “pure” content in wordpress, i’m not able to include the formatting due to JSON limitation (i can’t include direct html markup in a json)

Best,

Andrea

Hi @Tallon_Hawkins @Andrea_Chierichetti, welcome to the Make Community and thanks for posting about this. I’ve moved your questions into the main thread related to the WordPress plugin so we can keep the conversation focused and share updates in one place.

For anyone just joining, here’s the summary:

  • The plugin is temporarily disabled in the WordPress directory.
  • A new, updated version has already been developed by our dev team and is now in the final stages of internal testing.
  • Once testing is complete, we’ll submit the update to the WordPress team for review and share an update here as soon as it’s live again.

In the meantime, you can manually install the plugin using this link. You can follow the steps how to install the zip file here.

If you run into any issues with the manual install, please open a support ticket with our Customer Care team. They have the right tools to guide you through it.

Please know that our development team is working on this, and we’ll make sure to keep you posted with any progress until the plugin is available again.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
Thank you for your patience as we work to get this resolved. :folded_hands:

Hello everyone @here, thank you for your patience :folded_hands:

We’re happy to share that our WordPress Plugin has been re-listed on WordPress.org.

It includes the latest features and a patched vulnerability and has been approved by the WordPress Plugin Team.

:backhand_index_pointing_right: Make Connector

  • If you already have the plugin installed, please upgrade to version 1.6.0.
  • If you weren’t able to download it earlier, you can now find it in the WordPress plugin directory by searching for “Make Connector” by Make

Please give it a try and let us know if everything is working as expected.

Thanks a lot for your collaboration :folded_hands:

Thanks for the update, should we reinstall the plugin? I have version 1.6.0 but this version says it was updated 3 days ago, which is before your post stating that the patch was made.

I’m having the same problem: the articles I publish have no formatting. Everything is placed inside a <p> tag, even though it used to work without any issues before. In my scenario, I’m using a Markdown to HTML module, but the result is the same with or without it. Even an article submitted without any tags like ## or <h2> ends up wrapped as a single paragraph. I hope this will be fixed soon. Unless someone here has a solution to this problem?

Hello @here :waving_hand:

We apologize for the inconvenience.

Our developers have released a fix with a new plugin version 1.6.1. By updating the plugin, everything should be working as expected.

Thank you for your patience and support :folded_hands:.

Oh yes! It working now! Thank you so much

Newest version seems to be stripping and maybe other elements from the HTML when updating the wordpress pages. This breaks the search functionality on my site. I’ve got around it by hacking my own site slightly but is there a way to fix this in the Make plugin?

lol it was stripped from my reply here too!

I use html including an input for filtering data uploaded directly to a page and the input code is being stripped now.

Hey @Stu_Smith :waving_hand:
