Dear Make.com community,
Happy New Year to you all.
I’m trying to make an automation that does the following:
- Module one via a Perplexity AI chat call asks to find the last game played by the Washington Wizards.
- Module two via a Perplexity AI chat asks for that first set of information to be formatted in a specific way.
- Module three outputs the date, game (team vs team), and the score to a specific cell on a spreadsheet.
The issue I’m having is that the AI rarely provides the correct information. For example, if can forward the game played a week ago, or a game played next week, rather than the most recent game with a score.
I thought it was my prompts, but the more I’ve worked on the prompt, the more it seems that the AI API connected to Make.com struggles to find sources that cover the most recent game/score.
At this point, I can’t help but think it’s an API limitation but as it sometimes outputs right, I’m stumped. The only other thing I can think of is that it’s a date and timezone issue confusing the AI. My Make.com account is set to New York/America but when the automation runs every 3 hours, the date it tracks under the “now” date/time stamp shows as GMT (as I’m in the UK).
Any guidance or things I could try would be appreciated.
Thank you, take care, and have a wonderful weekend.
