What is your goal?
To create a phone agent that screens calls. Ex. press 1 to speak with “John”, Press 2 to reach “ABC Electrical”, Press 3 to book an appointment with “ABC Electrical”. Using a client’s current phone number, using Make.com
What is the problem?
I started out in Make, then was guided into Twilio. Twilio seems to have 2 options: port the phone number or buy a phone number and set up call forwarding from his public-facing, current number, to a Twilio number. The first option is likely too costly; the 2nd less costly but client would be billed by his current cell carrier and Twilio. Is there a third option, using Make, to create this agent, that doesn’t involve using a Twilio number? This also involves a Canadian phone number, if that matters. I’m brand new to agents and Make, so any help is greatly appreciated! It’s a steep learning curve. I’m even still trying to get a handle on the Community. Apparently I missed clicking a button that says, “Solved” on my last question about a month ago. My apologies! I did answer people who replied to my query though. I’ll get the hang of this yet! Thanks again everybody!!
What have you tried so far?
In my learning through Make, I ended up in Twilio, which seems simpler and less costly if I use the Twilio number as the public-facing number. I used my own personal cell to test it out. What I failed at succeeding is getting my phone carrier to send me a SMS to inform me of any voicemail that gets left on my Twilio phone number. Then I researched how to set up how to keep the potential client’s current number as the public facing number. This is where I hit the cost roadblock I mentioned above. I’d like to find a way to use Make to set this up but I have not succeeded yet. Your help would be greatly appreciated!
Create public scenario page
Because I ended up in Twilio I don’t have a Make Scenario page to share.
