Bump !!! Anyone please?
Hi @Sam_Krausz, Are you parsing data inside your http module ? Thereâs an option for that.
If thatâs the case, maybe use âjson parseâ module apart? same thing? Do you suspect the json string to really be invalid ? check with chatgpt rapidly
Welcome to the Make community!
To allow others to assist you with your scenario, please provide the following:
Please share screenshots of your scenario, any error messages, relevant module fields, and relevant filter settings. It would really help other community members to see what youâre looking at.
You can upload images here using the Upload icon in the text editor:
Please export the scenario blueprint file to allow others to view the mapped variables in the module fields. At the bottom of the scenario editor, you can click on the three dots to find the Export Blueprint menu item.
Please provide the output bundles of the modules by running the scenario (or get from the scenario History tab), then click the white speech bubble on the top-right of each module and select âDownload input/output bundlesâ.
Save each bundle contents in your text editor as a bundle.txt
file, and upload it here into this discussion thread.
If you are unable to upload files on this forum, alternatively you can paste the formatted bundles.
These are the two ways to format text so that it wonât be modified by the forum:
Method 1: Type code block manually
Add three backticks ```
before and after the content/bundle, like this:
```
content goes here
```
Method 2. Highlight and click the format button in the editor
Providing the input/output bundles will allow others to replicate what is going on in the scenario even if they do not use the external service.
By providing these details, it will allow others to assist you better.
I am making an HTTP GET request in Make.com to retrieve a JSON response, but Make.com is failing to parse it and showing the error: âResponse body is not a valid JSON. Bad control character in string literal at position 180224.â This suggests that the response contains an invalid character or formatting issue, so I need to check if the API is returning properly structured JSON, if there are unexpected control characters, or if Make.com is misinterpreting the response due to incorrect encoding or compression settings.
Make.com surely has some tools to handle this kind of parsing issue, but I donât know which ones to use.
blueprint.json (765.1 KB)
Youâll need to provide the full error Output body here as requested.
This is because while it may look like JSON, it could also be JSONC or JSONL, which is NOT JSON.
Providing the input/output bundles will allow others to replicate what is going on in the scenario even if they do not use the external service.
