Typeform to SalesManago > Scenario fails *only sometimes* when user doesn't fill out phone number in Typeform

Hi,

I’ve set up a scenario where whenever someone fills out a Typeform, a contact gets created in Salesmanago. There are 5 questions, 4 mandatory questions and 1 optional one - the phone number. The scenario is simple and works fine, lots of respondents choose to not give their phone number and the scenario gets run and new contact gets created with the phone number field empty.

However, in some cases when the contact doesnt give a phone number, the scenario fails on Salesmanago module with a bundle validation error where “Missing value of required parameter ‘value’” and the contact doesn’t get created. Whenever this happens, I see that on the Typeform module, under mappable answers there are only 4 fields (should be 5) and the phone number mappable answer is always missing. Again, plenty of times, people sign up without giving their phone number, and then the scenario runs and the contact gets created with an empty phone number, and there are 5 mappable answers. It seems to happen randomly where the scenario fails.

From my initial troubleshooting, I have been able to replicate the error on desktop when filling out the form I don’t activate/click on the “Phone” form field at all and just click next. I haven’t been able to replicate it on mobile, but I know some people have filled out the form on mobile and their contact hasn’t been created.

I’m happy to provide any additional information and curious to hear what I should do so that the contact would still get created?

2. Scenario Blueprint

Please export the scenario blueprint. Providing your scenario blueprint file will allow others to quickly recreate and see how you have set up the mappings in each module, and also allows us take screenshots or provide module exports of any solutions we have for you in return - this would greatly benefit you in implementing our suggestions as you can simply paste module exports back into your scenario editor!

To export your scenario blueprint, click the three dots at the bottom of the editor then choose ‘Export Blueprint’.

3. Output Bundles of Modules

Please provide the output bundles of each of the relevant modules by running the scenario (you can also get this without re-running your scenario from the History tab).

Click on the white speech bubbles on the top-right of each module and select “Download input/output bundles”.

Save each bundle contents in a plain text editor (without formatting) as a bundle.txt file.

If you are unable to upload files on this forum, alternatively you can paste the formatted bundles.
These are the two ways to format text so that it won’t be modified by the forum:

Providing the input/output bundles will allow others to replicate what is going on in the scenario, especially if there are complex data structures (nested arrays and collections) or if external services are involved, and help you with mapping the raw property names from collections.
