I don’t get this resolution. I have a project in test mode so I keep getting asked to reauthorise the connection. But like this user, I keep getting an error which I don’t know how to fix.
The accepted resolution seems to be to set your App status to Production. This is a workaround but it’s not the solution, I want to continue to use my Apps in test mode. This resolution implies that there is no solution to reauthorising, once you get the refresh token error you have to move your App to production.
Good chance there’s something I’ve missed but I’ve spent hours and hours trying to get connected with gmail, google drive - it’s a nitemare, shouldn’t be this difficult.
Continuing the discussion from ”Failed to verify connection. Invalid refresh token. Please reauthorize the connection”:
This is not a workaround. It is the solution.
Why?
This is like saying that you want to bake a cake without putting it in the oven. You are missing the most crucial step and complaining why it isn’t working. Everyone knows that to bake a cake you need to put it in the oven, and you’re saying “Why isn’t my cake baked when I put it in the freezer instead of oven? I don’t want to use the oven. I know I’m missing a step but using the oven is not the solution to baking a cake.”
With all due respect, we can’t help you if you don’t want to follow the instructions, or insist on doing it a different way.
Hope this helps! Let me know if there are any further questions or issues.

No that’s not helpful at all. You’ve missed the point, I thought this was a discussion forum?
My point was not to resolve my issue, it was asking why the help documentation offers the option to renew weekly if it doesn’t work? If this true it should say, you can verify once if your App is in test mode but once you’re asked to reauthorize it will fail and you must move your App to production.
To help you out getting your head around it, its like your cake recipe saying to bake your cake you have to put it in the freezer but really everyone knows that you have to bake it the oven.
With all due respect, your response is not what I expected, its a bit sarcastic and derogatory, we’re not all master chefs like you obviously are. I’m clearly following the instructions because I’m asking questions about them, I would prefer to myself corrected with the actual correct answer rather than ‘oh der these nubes are stupid’…not helpful, I’m sure this is not the type of response the community benefits from.
