Why Doesn’t the WhatsApp Link Preview Show the Featured Image in My Automation?
I’ve set up an automation in Make.com for my WordPress website. When a post is published, a notification is automatically sent to a WhatsApp group via Green API.
The setup works fine, and the link to the post is sent correctly. However, the link preview on WhatsApp does not display the featured image.
If I manually copy and paste the same link into WhatsApp, the preview (including the image) appears normally.
But when the automation sends the link, only the text preview appears, without the image.
I’m using Webhooks and Green API for this setup. Could this be related to how WhatsApp fetches metadata or how Make.com structures the message? Any insights on fixing this issue?
