All our modules with RSS modules have 403 error since 6am today

Hi everyone,

Has anyone else experienced problems with Make’s RSS modules today (9 October 2026)?

We’ve had 19 separate scenarios fail with 403 Forbidden errors, all involving RSS feed monitoring. These scenarios have been working reliably for months and have suddenly stopped working today. All 19 are still failing.

We’ve carried out extensive checks at our end:

  • Multiple websites affected: The scenarios monitor RSS feeds from several different websites, so this isn’t isolated to one feed or server.

  • No Cloudflare blocking: We’ve checked our Cloudflare security logs and can find no evidence of requests being blocked or challenged.

  • No server-side blocking: We’ve checked our website services and cannot find any corresponding 403 errors or other evidence of blocking.

  • No configuration changes: None of these scenarios has been modified for months.

  • All affected scenarios use RSS: This is the common factor across all 19 failures.

Make’s status page currently reports that all systems are operational, with no incidents recorded.

Given that 19 previously working scenarios have suddenly failed on the same day, across multiple independent websites, and our checks haven’t identified any blocking or configuration changes, we suspect there may be an issue with Make’s RSS module or the infrastructure used to retrieve RSS feeds.

We’ve also contacted Make Support, but I’m posting here to find out whether other users are experiencing the same problem.

A few questions:

  1. Is anyone else seeing sudden 403 Forbidden errors with Make’s RSS feed monitoring modules?

  2. Has anything recently changed with the RSS module, its HTTP requests, user-agent identification or outbound IP addresses?

  3. Could this be an issue affecting Make’s EU1 infrastructure or RSS requests more generally?

  4. Can Make investigate whether requests from its RSS module are being rejected before they reach the destination websites?

This is causing significant disruption, with 19 automated workflows currently unavailable.

Any confirmation from other users or an update from the Make team would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

:bullseye: What is your goal?

To fix the fault.

 What is the problem & what have you tried?

As described

403

It would appear that since 9th October, Make’s RSS module no longer accepts website.com/feed and only accepts website.com/feed/ with the trailing / . Without the trailing / the RSS module fails with a 403 (and note the 403 is not recorded on Cloudflare or website logs), with the trailing / the RSS module behaves correctly and runs.

It would be nice if Make could tell people before making changes like this… :frowning:

Usually this is due to the changes on the external website, they may have blocked visitors to the URL without trailing slash for SEO purposes.

This likely has nothing to do with Make.

Hey @schoolreadinglist :waving_hand:

Thanks for bringing this up in the Community. I see you’ve also created a ticket with our Customer Care team. As one of our agents mentioned, we haven’t made any changes to our RSS module. We absolutely understand that it is a frustrating situation, but it was not caused by us.

Thank you for your understanding :folded_hands:
