Base64 Audio to Whisper Open AI - How to Convert/Send Audio to OpenAI Module

Hello everybody!

I use Evolution API for WhatsApp and the audio message is received as in the attached image, Data Base64.

In N8N there is a Convert a File module for audio, but how can we do it here at Make to send this audio to OpenAI for transcription?

Because it was Make, I imagined it would be much simpler and… easier.

I’m not sure if I understand your needs correctly.

Whisper works with MP4 files:

So there is no need to convert the file.

And to decode Base64:
