Best SMTP server?

Is there any specific requirements or limitations to consider when integrating an SMTP server with existing email systems or applications?

Welcome to the Make community!

I may be biased, but I think Google Workspace’s Mail is the best.

SMTP is a protocol. The mail server either supports it or doesn’t, so there is nothing else to consider really, except the uptime of the service which should be as close to 100% as possible.

When connecting an SMTP server, make sure it is compatible with existing email systems and apps, taking into account protocols such as IMAP and POP3. Keep in mind the limits on message size, attachment types, and sending rates. For a small business, setting up SMTP servers such as SendGrid, iDealSMTP, Amazon SES, Digitalaka™ or Google Workspace might be the best options since they provide dependability, scalability, security features and a reasonable price.

I am a fan of mailgun. It let’s you setup the ability to send on behalf of other domain names that you setup via DNS records to allow mailgun to send on behalf of these domains. And there is SMTP support available for each domain name as well as a decent Make Mailgun app.
