Cannot send G Drive downloaded file via Whatsapp

Hi, I’m testing out this simple scenario below, where I use the “Download a file” module to get the file, and then try to send it via the “Send a message” whatsapp module, but while the module runs succesfully, the file is not sent.

I’m selecting the “Export Links: application/pdf” in the Media URL field, but I’ve tried many others and none worked.

Importantly, the send message module is otherwise configured correctly, since it does send a message if I just send text.

Hi TheDrB0B, that could be a permissions issue. Try using the Get a shared link Google Drive module, set the type to anyone, and use the Web Content Link property in WhatsApp

Thanks for the help! I tried this but it again didn’t send anything. Also, I need the file to be sent in pdf format (it is a sheets template for an invoice), which is why I’m trying the Download a file module.

I’ll check the permissions, although I was able to send files using CraftMyPDF modules, just wanted to use google sheets since it is free.

I figured it out! I had to add a “Upload a Media” module before “Send a message” one, I don’t know why, but I guessed it made it sense to me :joy:
