Collection can't be converted to text for parameter 'row'.`

Hi guys, I am trying to connect make.com to Glide, but I am stuck with the error:

Error
Validation failed for 1 parameter(s).

  • Collection can’t be converted to text for parameter ‘row’.

I would like to ask how to solve it, please?

Hi @stevie
It looks like you might be mapping a collection into a text column, which could be causing the error.
If you can share the webhook output bundle and a screenshot of how you’ve set up the edit row module like screenshot below, we can help you out further.

How to Share Input/Output bundles

To obtain the input and output bundles for each module:

  1. Run the scenario or retrieve it from the History tab.
  2. For each module, click the white speech bubble located at the top-right corner.
  3. Select “Download input/output bundles” from the dropdown menu.

This will allow you to download the necessary data for further analysis and sharing.

Method 1: Attach a Text File

  1. Copy the output data.
  2. Paste the data into a text file.
  3. Attach the text file to your ticket.

Method 2: Direct Sharing

  1. Use the direct sharing option available in the reply section. Please refer to the image below for guidance.

Hi Msquare, please kindly assist, look forward to your reply.

Hello @stevie
I’m not an expert in GlideApps.
But per my initial checking, you’re performing an edit/update action which always needs some reference (id/key) to edit that data.

First, I’ve checked your webhook bundle response.
When I checked your previous response screenshots I found that you used subscription: custom_fields directly as a Row ID field on make.
See this

Your subscription: custom_fields is empty.
Another important thing is that custom_fields under the subscription is a collection so you can’t refer to it unless it is directly allowed. See the image attached by @Msquare_Automation where it refers to value and you refer to collection.

Hi @dilipborad, sorry, I am new to Make, I’m still confused after your guidance, but thanks a lot anyway.
