Hey Makers
We are excited to announce the winner of our fifth community challenge, @Alexey_Nikolaev!
This submission stood out not just for its clever use of technology, but for the powerful, personal story behind it.
A massive congratulations to Alex, who built a solution that turns a stressful pile of papers into a clear, automated pet health dashboard!
The Story: A Beloved Cat and a Global Journey
Alex’s story is one many of us can connect with. He has a cat with chronic health issues, and over the past five years, his family has lived in three different countries.
This meant navigating a growing stack of veterinary lab reports in different formats and, crucially, in different languages—including Russian, Serbian, and Spanish! Trying to track his cat’s health by manually comparing these documents was a time-consuming and stressful process. In Alex’s own words, “this is important for my cat, and he is important for our family.”
The Solution: An AI-Powered Health Analyst in His Pocket
Alex decided to tackle this personal challenge head-on. He built a brilliant solution that:
- Extracts Data: Uses the Make AI Content Extractor to pull information from complex scanned reports—even ones with charts.
- Unifies the Language: Leverages the Make AI Toolkit to translate all the reports into English.
- Creates a Central Hub: Organizes every parameter into a single Google Sheet, creating a complete health history.
- Delivers Key Insights: Automatically sends a summary of the results and a list of “areas of attention” directly to Telegram!
What Our Reviewers Had to Say
Alex’s submission didn’t just impress us; it wowed our judge. Here’s a summary of their feedback:
- Simple, Strong, and Innovative: Our judge loved this “simple and strong solution,” calling it a perfect example of “how AI should be used to simplify our lives.”
- Huge Potential: The judge was thrilled with the scalability, noting that “many more users can use this” and that Alex’s idea of building an app is “great.”
- Heartfelt and Efficient: The solution was praised as a “definitely efficiency” booster for its ability to translate and unify medical reports.
What’s Next for Alex?
In just one day, Alex transformed years of fragmented reports into actionable data that has already improved conversations with veterinarians. Inspired by this success, he now sees a clear path to turning this prototype into a true MVP for animal health, with plans to integrate Airtable and a mobile app for visualization.
This is what it’s all about—using technology to solve real, meaningful problems. Congratulations again, Alex, on an incredible and inspiring submission! ![]()

A Round of Applause for Our Incredible Finalists

The competition was fierce, and we want to extend a huge congratulations to our two other finalists, who also built outstanding, high-impact solutions.
@magic_santi : Automating 150+ Purchase Orders Per Month
-
The Problem: Santiago’s client was manually entering data from over 150 monthly purchase orders, each with a different format, from 13 different clients.
-
The Solution: He built a system using the Make AI Content Extractor and OpenAI to read any purchase order format, extract all the key data (items, prices, dates, etc.), and feed it directly into a PostgreSQL database.
-
The Impact: This resulted in a 100% reduction in manual data entry and a 99.7% reduction in errors. Our judge called it a “very simple but powerful” time-saver, noting “No one likes to write invoices manually into the system… This could be used by many more users.”
@damato : The AI Assistant That Understands Audio on WhatsApp
-
The Problem: In Brazil, it’s common to send a PIX payment receipt via WhatsApp immediately after a purchase. Guy’s team needed a way to do this instantly, but Brazilians overwhelmingly prefer sending audio messages over text.
-
The Solution: An elegant AI orchestrator named “Dorothy.” A user sends an audio message like, “Dorothy, send the PIX receipt…” Make AI Content Extractor transcribes the audio, and AI Agents understand the command, find the correct receipt from Google Drive, and send it—all via WhatsApp.
-
The Impact: This cut the time to send a receipt from 5 minutes to less than 1 minute. Our judge praised the “smart way” the scenarios were built, calling it a “really good solution” that is highly efficient and perfectly adapted to its users’ needs.
