I built an AI Agent that interfaces with my ecommerce store and provides customer support.
Now - I also want this agent to know how to generate records when a customer wants to place an order.
My problem is this -
In Airtable when I want to associate a record, I have to select it from an array.
As soon as I give the option of “Let AI Agent Decide” it just gives an error without any explanation and after many tests I realized that this is the problem.
How can you deal with it?
How does it make sense that the agent can’t understand that he needs to match his data structure to the array? It seems to me such a simple and illogical error.

Contact Make support about the error. I recently reported a similar issue with ClickUp custom fields and the agent failing to populate them properly.
In the mean time you can move the record creation to a subscenario instead and have the AI call that I stead.
Haha sounds like an unnecessary workaround haha
I also sent them an email about this, hope they resolve it soon, it seems very illogical to me that it doesn’t work when the agent encounters Array
