Downloading photos from slack and automatically save them on a specific google drive

Hi!

I’ve been trying to set up a scenario between slack and google drive. Till now I’ve created 3 steps

However, I keep getting an error on slack (2nd ‘step’) due to the URL private download which I have no idea what do I need to put there. Can someone help pls?

Welcome to the Make community!

What is the output bundle from the trigger module? Are you mapping the correct URL/file ID into the Download module?

1. Screenshots of module fields and filters

Please share screenshots of relevant module fields and filters in question? It would really help other community members to see what you’re looking at.

You can upload images here using the Upload icon in the text editor:

2. Scenario blueprint

Please export the scenario blueprint file to allow others to view the mappings and settings. At the bottom of the scenario editor, you can click on the three dots to find the Export Blueprint menu item.

(Note: Exporting your scenario will not include private information or keys to your connections)

Uploading it here will look like this:

blueprint.json (12.3 KB)

3. And most importantly, Input/Output bundles

Please provide the input and output bundles of the modules by running the scenario (or get from the scenario History tab), then click the white speech bubble on the top-right of each module and select “Download input/output bundles”.

A.

Save each bundle contents in your text editor as a bundle.txt file, and upload it here into this discussion thread.

Uploading them here will look like this:

module-1-input-bundle.txt (12.3 KB)
module-1-output-bundle.txt (12.3 KB)

B.

If you are unable to upload files on this forum, alternatively you can paste the formatted bundles in this manner:

  • Either add three backticks ``` before and after the code, like this:

    ```
    input/output bundle content goes here
    ```

  • Or use the format code button in the editor:

Providing the input/output bundles will allow others to replicate what is going on in the scenario even if they do not use the external service.

Following these steps will allow others to assist you here. Thanks!

Hi @samliew thanks for your comment!

I attached the blue print, the output and input bundles.

I think the private url download is wrong but i not sure what i need to input there?

SSD_Blueprint.txt (9.2 KB)

Sorry, you have not provided the output bundle for module [1] yet, so I don’t know if 1.files[].title is the right variable to use.

Sorry its my first time using make.com so i’m still a bit green on certain stuff.

This is for the 2nd slack icon (downloading a file action)

What about module one, the trigger module?

This one?

Yes, that’s the module. Can you please provide an example Output Bundle (messages that contains the photos) from your scenario execution history?

Please provide the output bundles of the modules by running the scenario (or get from the scenario History tab), then click the white speech bubble on the top-right of each module and select “Download input/output bundles”.

Hey, I’ve downloaded the outputs for 2 modules.

Module 1: [ null ]

Module 2: [
null
]

Both of them seem to have a full output which seem to be wrong but i don’t know how to fix these.

Thanks,
Danika

That may be because there were no new messages sent with attachments.

Try sending a new message in Slack, then when the next time the scenario runs, there should be some new data.

Alternatively, you can go to the scenario History tab and search for a scenario run with output bundles.

what do i need to put under downloaded parameter url?

You can unlink the rest of the scenario until you know what data is being received from the trigger module.
